10th Beer Club!

Invites have been sent October 21st, 2012!

Title: 10th Beer Club Meet and Greet

Wow! What a milestone. Never really thought we’d make it this far, but glad we have.

Description:

1. Bring 1 case of beer (24-12oz. Bottles or cans – min cost of $25 per case) in a cooler with ice subject to exclusion and previously shared lists. (See exclusion and previously shared lists)
2. You must like the beer you bring (and be willing to take home any unopened bottles/cans, if any remain.) Please do not use the club as a first time taste of your beer.
3. Beer can be any flavor, any strength, from any brewery, (providing #2 is true) subject to exclusion and previously shared lists. (See exclusion and previously shared lists)
4. Please label your cooler with its original contents. Note that by the end of the night, it will most likely become a variety of different beers.
5. You can drink from any cooler you like, including your own, BUT…Before you open a bottle/can from someone else’s cooler, you must replace it with an unopened bottle/can from your cooler. (Unless it’s your own, obviously!) This has not happened at the beginning of the several meets, so…
6. You can drink as fast or as slow as you like. (Slow is preferable. The more you drink at the meeting, the less you will be able to take home.)
7. At the end of the night, we will allow a final 1-for-1 exchange of unopened bottles/cans, and you can take home whatever is left in your cooler.
*8. Bring your favorite vessel (mug, stein, pint, yard, mason jar, etc.)

The hosts will be providing burgers and dogs.

Also, if you buy your beer @ Exton beverage for the beer club meeting, mention my name and the beer club, and you’ll get 10% off.

Guests (Limit of 2 adults per case of beer) are requested to please bring a snack food, a salad or a desert to share. Please let us know by replying to the invite.

Driving: Please do not drive drunk. If you “taste” too much and need to sleep it off, the host always has a place for you to lie down, no problem.
Start Time: 3:00 PM
Date: 2012-11-17

If your GPS doesn’t see our address, please use the following address that will lead you to the entrance of our development:

New theme!

What do you think of the new theme? I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it yet or not.

Guys,

Just a heads up that my buddy Mike has opened the only Homebrew/Winemaking supply store in Chester County this past Thursday, October 15th. Please stop by and buy some stuff! I am going to get all my homebrew supplies from Mike, and you should too.

Check out his site:

See you @ the Club Meet tonite!

Wahoo! GABF here we come!

Yes. Clarie, Ryan, Marissa and I are headed to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver from Sept. 24-26th! We have the festival tickets, and our hotel booked. Just working out the plane tix and we’re all set! Yes!

4th Beer Club meet!

Great times and great beer were had by all last night during our 4th meet. Without a doubt, this club is growing by leaps and bounds. I’m going to remove the “annual” moniker because it appears that this year will be the year we have more than 1 meeting! Yay! I’d love to see comments from anyone that attended. Thanks.

Philly Beer Week!!

I know I’m a little late with this post, but I wanted to make sure I posted something about this great event.

I was only able to make it out to 2 events (so far) but enjoyed them both.

First, Marissa & I checked out Teresa’s Next Door for the intro of Duvel Green. Great bar.. we will be back. They have an 11 page beer book! Sweet! Not so keen on the Green. I prefer regular Duvel.

Josh and I made it out to Local 44 this past Sunday as they were host of a history making event… they had 7 Russian River beers on tap all at once (for about 45 minutes at least, before the 1st beer kicked)! Let the record show that we were first to the bar, first in the bar, and served first! Heh! It was a fun time. It got super crowded by the time we left, and the best of the beers were gone. Pliny the Younger has a well deserved reputation, as do all the other Russian River beers. Hopefully, their beers will become easier to get in the coming months.

Out for now.

Cya on Saturday!

Welcome to TheBeerClub!

Hey Guys and Gals! Our website is back after a long absence.

It’s crazy, but I first put this website up sometime in April of 2004. I used Php-Nuke to build that site… which really never got very far along.

The site is back for good, and so is the club!

Look around – I’m updating as quickly as I can.

Please contact me if you have any historical info about our club. Thanks!
